Privacy Policy

How AVE MUNDO a.s. collects, processes, and protects your personal data. Last updated: 6 May 2026.

1. Who we are

The data controller is AVE MUNDO a.s., a joint-stock company registered in the Czech Republic. Contact: hello@avemundo.com.

2. What data we collect

We are intentionally minimal in what we collect. The website at avemundo.com processes only what you actively send us:

Pitch / contact form

If you reach out via the pitch form, we collect:

Identity — name, email address, company name
Context — what you're building or what you're investing in, traction or thesis (free text), what you're looking for from us
Track — whether you contacted us as a founder or investor

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) records standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL — for the purposes of security, abuse prevention, and basic infrastructure operation. These logs are retained per GitHub's policy and are not used by us for profiling or marketing.

Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — page views, sources, and basic device categories. We've configured GA4 with IP anonymization and Google Consent Mode v2, which means:

Analytics cookies are not set until you opt in via the cookie banner
Your IP address is anonymized before storage (last octet truncated)
We do not use Google Signals, Google Ads remarketing, or any cross-site advertising features
Data is processed under standard contractual clauses with Google for EU/EEA visitors

You can change your choice anytime by clearing site data in your browser (Settings → Site settings → avemundo.com → Clear data) — the cookie banner will reappear.

What we do not collect

No advertising cookies
No third-party scripts that profile you across sites
No Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or similar
No remarketing or audience-building based on your behaviour here
No cookies set by avemundo.com itself

3. Why we process your data (legal basis)

Contract / pre-contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. When you submit the pitch form, we use your data to evaluate a potential partnership and respond to you.
Consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Google Analytics is loaded only after explicit consent via the cookie banner.
Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs, security, and abuse prevention.

4. How long we keep your data

Pitch submissions: up to 24 months from last contact, unless we form a partnership in which case retention follows the underlying contract.
Server logs: per GitHub's retention policy (typically up to 12 months).
Google Analytics data: 14 months (default GA4 retention with auto-deletion).
Email correspondence: retained for the duration of any active engagement plus statutory retention periods under Czech law.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with the minimum necessary infrastructure providers:

GitHub, Inc. (USA) — website hosting via GitHub Pages. Operates under EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) — Google Analytics 4 (only if you opt in via the cookie banner). IP anonymization enabled. Operates under EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for any onward transfer to Google LLC (USA).
Our email provider for receiving and storing pitch submissions and correspondence.
Portfolio companies or co-investors only with your explicit prior consent.

We never sell personal data. We never share it for advertising purposes.

6. International transfers

Some of our processors operate outside the European Economic Area (notably GitHub in the U.S.). Such transfers occur under appropriate safeguards, primarily the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
Lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz) or your local supervisory authority

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, restrict access to pitch submissions to authorised partners only, and rely on infrastructure providers (GitHub, our email provider) that maintain industry-standard security controls.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our processing evolves or laws change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the website or — where you have an active engagement with us — by email.
